Laite on suunniteltu erityisesti korkean kaistanleveyden sovelluksiin, kuten Wi-Fi 6/6E -tukiasemien, NAS-laitteiden, palvelimien ja työasemien liittämiseen. Kaikki portit tukevat 10G-nopeuksia, mikä tekee siitä kustannustehokkaan ja suorituskykyisen ratkaisun yritysverkon runkoyhteyksiin ja suurten datamäärien hallintaan.

XGS-6311-12X tukee reititystoimintoja, mukaan lukien staattinen reititys, RIP ja OSPF. Näiden avulla voidaan rakentaa joustava ja dynaaminen ympäristö, joka soveltuu mm.runkoverkkoihin ja datakeskuksiin.
